I've recently had the white pieces against a lot of Najdorf Sicillians, and I've been playing the 6. Bc4 line. Still, I realize that I'm floundering a bit after my last few games against it.
I have two questions:
1) Why is the most popular move on move 9. Qf3? It seems like a strange square for the queen.
2) In these sorts of positions, what are the general plans for both sides (though particularly white)?
