I'm loving the englund gambit hartlaub charlick! it's VERY TRAPPY and aggressive starting with the rook on d8 after 0-0-0 waiting to get a discovered attack on d1 after Bxh7+. a lot of players don't know what they're doing and get into trouble in the main lines.

in king's gambit, I love THIS rare opportunity trap

I also find that in king's gambit and blackmar diemer variants (gedult BDG scandnavian, alapin diemer french and ESPECIALLY mieses carokann which i started kicking butt with BY ACCIDENT!) all lend themselves nicely to bg4 pin breaking attacks on f7 using Nf3, Bc4 and the semi-open f file. it's possible to get mates in under 10 in all of those using the same SIMPLE concept
