I think the scotch is the best opening there is, you can choose simple lines if you are a beginer, or more complicated lines for advanced players. Gary Kasparov used to play the scotch, and it is probably the best opening for white if they want to avoid the Roy Lopez, anyone diagree??

Also, if you do play the Scotch, Join the Scotch Team.

I play with "SCOTSH" every day I can't play without Scotsh and I prefer the single malt variation to the blended.

I agree with the first sentence.

I agree on the second sentence.

I agree on all the sentences.....

But after the Scotch, you sure get a lot of lines you can continue with....and all the pieces can be developed too!

I play the Vienna, but I'll join, since at the very least I'll have to counter the scotch as black.

But I'll give you a chance to win me over from Vienna to Scotch. Tongue out

I agree, I can't play without the Scotsh.  Having a Macallan right now.

Maybe we should make our own group!

 What it is not boring-

It is

FUN FUN FUN FUN!

I love it!

On a second note- you don't have to shout it out. Just because you don't know the opponing, then you shouldn't say you hate it.

Now I am going to the corner to start cryingLaughing thinking about a new opining. If you find this opining boring, play the Halloween Gambit- you will probably lose almost all of your games, bu that's life!

On a comclusion, you don't have to increase the font like that!

The trap acctually happens a lot- especially when people never saw it before. Now, that I am playing in real tournements, less and less people fall for it but for beginers, it is a sure chance to win!
