Thx for the friend request Blinsk.

I noticed that this is very similar to a well known trap in a version of the najdorf, where this sacrifice happens on e6 with a bishop.  Here is a game:

Thanks Dan, very cool!

Yeah, you called me Blinsk, I don't know if you remember me or not.  I've shaved off the beard in the profile pic and haven't updated that picture.  Last time I saw you at the coffeehouse I was very caffeinated and making stupid jokes that were pissing everyone off.  Remember me now?

hehe

I just dont' usually use people's real name online.  I figure if you wanted your real name out there, you would have picked that as your handle in the first place.

Cheers.

And Why should everyone have an inferior line in their toolbox?  5.Bc4 is not best here, and Black has better ways to take advantage of all this rather than transposing into a Najdorf/Scheveningen hybrid.

And what says everyone should have any opening in their toolbox?  Maybe some of us play 1...e5 instead of 1...c5.

I'm not even sure that I have a toolbox!

That queen trap is funny, although I agree that it is probably not practical.  I have to ask, would you say that a2-a4-a5 has any other practical purpose other then setting up this trap?

Also, regarding the second diagram, what do you think was better in that position?  Bishop sac or Knight sac?

Ill also show you the draw backs of playing Bc4 against e6 so you can see the situation it def might help you to find another line against e6 move
If you compare the games you will notice the difference is the d6 pawn in the other game the d7 pawn was on d6 making Bb4 impossible becuase the pawn is in the way however in the Sicilian Kan there is no d6 pawn so the bishop can go to b4 square making it a deadly pinn and causing tons of pressure be aware of this fact

You have me convinced about the e6 lines.

That fisher sozin line looks cool.  I'd say that I usually prefer to castle queenside, but i can see how, considering my kingside pieces are all developed, it makes sense just to 0-0 instead of spending time developing the queenside and allowing black the queenside attack
