This is one line I think gives Black unsurmountable difficulties.
@Expertise87: Thanks! I've never actually gotten this far in a real game. In practice, I've always seen 8.Ne4 (instead of 8.cxd4), to which I play 8...Ne3 and end up a pawn down with good play against the backward d-pawn which usually falls in the end.
FWIW, my repertoire move in this line is 11...Rb8 which seems a lot more useful for Black than 11...e4 played above. Do you know of a refutation for this particular line?
Yes, I'll post it when I get home.
Thanks again! I'll look forward to it.
Umm, Sloughterchess may have already posted this here.http://www.chess.com/forum/view/chess-openings/two-knights-defense-4ng5-d5-5exd5-nd4
I don't want to encourage him, but this might actually make sense.
f you would like to see the thoughts of a correspondence master on this subject, see http://www.ebay.com/itm/Two-Knights-A-Chess-Killing-Machine-with-an-Emphasis-on-4-Ng5-/271319251507?ssPageName=ADME:L:LCA:US:1123
Thanks for the tip. I'll take a look.
