Why nobody plays 5...d5 in the sicilian?

looks like 6. e5 Nd7 7. f4 transposes into the French. What Sicilian player wants to do that?

Up in the diagram in the OP: after e5 the Knight will likely go to d7. What position are you looking at?

I never played that. However, Zsuzsa Polgar did, some 20 years ago, and did not score badly.

You may note that the OP asked about 2...e6, while in your example it is 2...Nc6.
