Let me know if you can see it.

Let's make it happen!

I never noticed, the OP wasn't in the USA. That's why I watched FOX four.

Roma60

did anyone notice none of the kids ad fun loving child like personalitys.

Am I right in thinking some of you managed to watch this program from start to finish? The whole way through, the whole hour? If you did, respect.

I managed maybe 5 minutes, as far as when they asked some kid "so, how much do you want to win this competition?" and he replied "pi...without the decimal point....that's a really big number".

Made me feel physically sick.

Turned over to the Ancient Aliens on the "History" channel, that's always good for a laugh.

chessman_calum

Why did that make you feel so bad, Matt? I thought that was a witty response. Very clever, infact. I watched it the whole way through and I'll be watching it next week too.

IpswichMatt

Dunno really, maybe seemed like trying too hard to be clever.

Actually I suspect it may have been scripted: "Please don't make me say the pi thing, I get bullied enough at school as it is!" "Just say the line kid, or you're off the show"

Trying to pigeonhole me, Steve?

I read whatever interests me and is free, left on a seat, featured on the internet or thrown up by a search. Articles from the heavyweights on the net, The Sun at work and Huffington Post daily (I have a penchant for bitchy/humorous celebrity comment).

I draw the line at the Daily Sport though, just noticing that paper makes me feel more stupid.

Hehehe.....Who? Me?!    Of course not,i would'nt dream of pidgeonholing you Doggy!   Nevertheless, a very pragmatic reply, very Liberal  Wink

Yes indeed! I myself enjoy the third page and cryptic musings at coffeetime.

I agree with you regarding the Daily Sport,if there were a collective noun for such a group of readers it's certain to have a primitive meaning. The child genius must feel like a Guardian reader at breaktime surrounded by Sunday sport readers...." How can i soar like an eagle when i'm surrounded by a flock of turkeys"

Thanks 2Q, I was a bitter old man back then.

Just looked up Joshua Altman, he's rated 1727 on the FIDE list. Unrated now on the ECF list, so I suspect he's quit chess.

Or maybe he posts here . . .

I expect every time he sat down to play his opponent said "So, you really a master then? Even though you're only about 1700?".

That might get annoying after a while.
