Call it what it is! "Correspondence Chess".
I wish that's what the PGN game files would say. I have to go through and manually change them all from "Let's Play!" to something a bit more meaningful. Could we get that changed, at least?

Yes. How insulting. As if we are all little children giddy with excitement at the prospect of playing a chess game. "Let's play!" puh-leeze. 
(only kidding, of course. I still get excited every time I see the 64 squares!)

As you've pointed out Online chess is a generic name. Change it to Online Correspondence Chess (OCC) or simply Correspondence Chess.
