It's my understanding that the flags on profiles are for the country of origin of the player. Why, then, are there flags for provinces like Catalonia, many of which have either never been independent or have not been in at least 500 years? If there are going to continue to be provincial flags, why are there not flags for the US states, particularly the ones that have been independent within the last 200 years like Texas and Hawai'i?
