Is there a way to enter a position in FEN notation into the Game Explorer and have it pull up all the games that reached that position? I have a position that was reached through transposition, but I suspect it has occured in other other games starting from different openings.

thanks!

If you use Game Explorer to enter your game and reach the critical position, that position's analysis will include games that reached that critical position by transposition.

I say this because it seems to be the simplest explanation based on my experience. I have been at a position where it shows one move (of several moves) that has one master game, I make that move, and it then shows three master games continuing from the new position.

In other words, you benefit from all master games that reached that position, even if by transposition. You just need to find that position by entering moves, rather than entering FEN.

DavidForthoffer:  Thanks for that advice, which I think is correct.  I have in fact noticed exactly the same phenomenon you describe, that the number of games can increase based on the move chosen.
