lol the truth is you're lagging.that happens to me a lot too.It looks like the opponent didn't move and his time is running out but the truth is he has made the move just that you are having connection problems and you can't see it

Thank you for the reply, but i have a super fast connection which i always test and my computer runs on a major lan line that never lags. plus when it happens my lag bar is always green. I know it seems like im a newbie but its happened to me on another chess site where the person who did it to me was a known hack. I just wish it would stop so I can get a good chess game.
I can promise you when we play, the is no hacking going on. If it does happen, I am sure it is a small # of people. I have a really jam up connection, but there are hiccups sometimes. It is the nature of the internet.
Wow after all this time i just found out why this was happening, the whole time I was playing on this site I was using my wifes computer all the while not realizing that she was connected by wifi, well this morning I went over everything and reconnected the computer by cable /lan/, and am not getting interrupted at all! I feel alot better now at the same time felling like an idiot for not checking. thank you everyone for your constructive posts.
now I have to try and win back my points.
Interesting conversation. I had also same doubts regarding time cheat but turned out it was my mistake altogther.
I was acused by Ricanbrooks for cheating, the funny thing is, just to amuse him I told him I used an engine lol. To top it off, the guy made a few moves and resigned lol.
This used to be a cool site to play in but im thinking of stopping my membership because when people start to lose in a game of lightning, they use a connection hack which switches your time for theirs ive seen this done at other chess sites and it makes playing chess at this site annoying.
Chess is suppose to be a gentlemans game of skill not some childs hack toy for points! can anyone help?
