Checkmating with a king and 2 knights is impossible if the other player makes the optimal move every turn
mate with 2 night and 1 pown belong to other side is possible the pown in h7
and with just two night impossible
You can only mate if your opponent lets you. Most people just agree to a draw because they don't feel like sitting there for 50 moves watching this simple draw played out on the board...
