I think the post here is really misleading. It's better to fight to the end, to not be afraid. That's what this article is saying, but when you say pays to surrender, you mean surrender to the moment, to eschew fearfulness and just play. That's not what I got from this post at all.
Yes, I see your point. But what I intended to get across here was an attitude of letting go of the result, not going in with the intention to lose. Hope that explains the idea. Thanks for the comments.
