Never, because if I put a piece on the wrong square I just click it again so it goes back to it's origonal square without the risk of accidentally hitting submit.

Never, not even in blitz. I like to make my opponent work to win.

Agreed Rich, I have the same problem with that as I did with RainbowRising... they're now both officially on my BAD LIST!!!!!! A very rare list I now reserve for people who unnecessarily add some profanities to our fair forum.

Touch move seems like a strange choice to me - since it allows for not just human error, but also mechanical failure (bad mouse, low batteries, poor connection etc.) to affect your move.

hmm...in the past 7 months, I don't think any of those things have happened. I have had about 5 "mouseslips" in which I click the piece...start moving it...then oh no. 5 in 600 games isn't that bad but when it happens in a winning game- it does hurt.

Got backranked and lost a 150 points in online chess, but naturally, WORSE still... I was gloating to the guy, telling him to resign earlier XD. He was adamant that miracles can happen, but I didn't see it. I was clear piece up, and he was practically exchanging a piece every turn. Got too cocky, started playing a move every 3 seconds (we were both online at the time), had a move that will take off his lone rook off the board right then or a move later... didn't care, played one...

Don't you hate it when you plan out a solid defensive move... and then as you hurriedly make your move on the board... you put your piece in the wrong place... and instead of clicking, say... "Cancel"... in your haste you click "Submit" : (
Has that happened to anyone else, where you saw the error as you made it... but made the move anyway?
