Troll is a nordgermanic word - known since 1500 years already. later the meaning changed and was used in fairies. then it was taken over by anglo languages - like english- and then your dictionary start. so if you call somebody a Troll - and this cant be an english substantive you have to think first if it is a substantive in any other language as a special term before you think he made a mistake. - thats logic

Masculine and feminine do not affect verb endings in French. They affect adjectives - where an adjective is describing a feminine noun, an "e" is added. An "s" is added if the noun is plural.
