Holy.....Holy....Can't believe I won this.
What did you do? Your opponent didn't even use his rooks.

What did I do? Well, it seems like I moved my pieces. Last time I checked, moving your pieces was 'doing' something.

Your opponent didn't do anything, that is why you survived.

Smug one aren't you? I'm a beginner in terms of playing chess, so buzz of.
Like I'd laugh at you if you couldn't play bach's minuet in g major flawlessly after a few months of piano.

he kept checking you with the queen, but never used his rooks.
Also, he did do something: checked me countless times.
Why are you acting so high and mighty? You're not even 1400 rated. Not that I am either, but that's not the point.

I am not high and mighty, but know the basics. He didn't do anything other than keep checking you with the queen.

Lol, troll.

If you want to talk about piano, go to a different forum, this is chess.
I'm with wafflemaster. Also, that's kind of how you win games- capitalizing on your opponent's blunders.
Ignore chessph, he is a really weak player making fun of a beginner. Really sad.
You played a good game, Kuroko. I am sure we can rip apart chessph's games pretty easily, but we will not stoop to his level.
You are getting better...keep it up!
I'd like to make a chess-commentary-video. Since I have no clue about high-level chess and think low-level chess is much more exciting anyways, I would like to make one about that. May I?
you survived a bunch of repeated checks against a lone queen? because your opponent didn't get his pieces working together there was never any substantial mate threat so you really didn't survive anything. In fact, at a glance the position after move 31 with white to move looks like a possible winning position for white - i'd do some good analysys on this game to determine if you indeed had a winning position at all. Castleing kingside and then initianting a kingside pawn storm seems counterproductive, leaving your king out in the open to be picked off by white. You simply lucked out that your opponent wasn't a strong enough player to realize he could have capitalized on your mistakes. Nevertheless, you capitalized on his and won the game -which is a huge part of playing chess.
The fun thing about the BYP was, that in one of his instructive videos, where he had taken a grand-master game I actually learned something from him.
The one where he explained the plan of attacking weak squares and how to identify them.

Based on your ratings here, I can say the same to you. How about real life?
Before you say 'survived', make sure it is from something meaningful. Like I said, your opponent didn't do anything.

Thank you! I honestly thought that I would lose every single time he moved his queen.
Thanks waffllemaster and cortman.
@kuroko1:
Nice to see such enthusiasm from a new player. You played well and won the match. That said there was a lot or errors on both sides, but there is no reason to bash anyone. With time you will be better and better, so keep playing.
If you dont mind i will just point you a single position that could make your life much more easier:
Remember.. there is always place for improvement. so analising your matches will teach you a lot. Hopefully the next time you have a queen and a rock aligned against the opponent caslt you will remember my analisys.
Good luck and keep playing.
