It's just a game

Chess Players, chess is just a game and for fun.  It's not life and death so stop running away.  If you're running away to find players that you can beat and then elevate your ratings then what's next? You can be so high rated and be called high rated player...not really especial because there's a lot of high rated players out there. Maybe, unless you are the champ of the high rated tournaments to be known, but you will not be because you did not earn it the right way to get to that position...you gonna get killed at the top.  You might as well enjoy the journey to the top with your own real ratings now.  So stop picking players that you can beat. As a matter of fact, pick players that are high rated more than you and this way if you're able to beat them then you know you are improving your chess.

Everybody is subject to their own opinion. For me, chess is a competition that requires a struggle to earn what must to be earned.  It's not much fun to win for the Grandmaster or 2200 rated player to play against 1400 that he knows he can demolished.

Did you see a GM or a 2200 player ever do that? I sure as hell didn't. Maybe playing for fun with a friend, unrated, but not for points, that's certain.

He wants a good kicking from a 2200 or higher rated player by the sound of it.
