I don't recommend bullet or blitz to improve your play, but it can help you see things quicker as you kearn from opponents who play their tactics on you!

I just wish there was a cash reward for screwing the most TT problems in a row. I'd win it hands down.

First, let me say as noted in Lesson007 just posted last night, if I entered the chess coaching business strictly for $$, I would be fortunate if I had any students paying for individual lessons. A few have approached me and I have turned them all down, except for one, who is dead serious about shooting to the top. My logic is fair, I feel I would just be showing private students what's in my my free lessons, so let them take advantage of what's here and if they wish to donate, they may. Of course indiviaul lessons would go a step beyond as I can learn so much more about a player if I work directly with him or her and customize and personalize my approach.

Since this thread was made, Lesson001 and Lesson002 have jumped to 742 and 378 views respectively. These numbers will continue to rise as more people discover what I have to offer.

As Lesson001 points out, my key here is I am teaching you to teach yourself. You folks are the ones who play and study chess, I can just show you what worked for me that I had to work out the hard way.I didn't realize at the time what the keys were, I had to look back on my chess career and refelct on what worked, and what didn't, then present it to you as I did in Lesson001.

As far as purchasing chess books go, this depends upon the seriousness of your involvement. It's quite easy to invest a lot of money quickly, and not gain the maximum returns as much of what you acquire isn't relevant to my methods for you to imporve your play.

Remember, when you study your games, you are learning. Even if you don't see everything in your early endeavors, your skill will improve as you stick with it. Some of my students set smaller goals as they go, and will measure their progress accordingly. You can get a feel that you are improving if you find you are applying things I point out in my lessons into your games and your study. Also, you will note self-improvement simply by your level of enthusiasm as you move forward. If you are positive and enjoying it, trust me, you are improving. We aren't going from 0 to 100 MPH overnight here, but we are going to achieve that rate of acceleration over the long haul. If you want to be a master, you will get there.

I don't think everybody has the talent to become a master.

You may be right in what you're saying however, if one can improve ones own game, which in turn makes the game of chess more enjoyable, surely that is more important than becoming a master.

Well, many people who play level off at some point and stay the same strength. My program gives them information and a method to attempt to overcome that. I haven't seen anyone come out with my methods yet. In short, I describe what worked for me. If you duplicate what i did, you have the chance to do it as well. To me, saying you can't improve is defeatest, and that's not chess.Chess is to play for the win. At any rate, no one will succeed unless they try. I still believe anyone can reach master if they wish. If their way didn't work, try mine. All it costs you is your time.

I love to win, I hate to lose. I hate that I make stupid mistakes, and I get too focused on the check, that I miss what is going on around me, and then I blunder big time. Like Rats says, one has to take time before the next move. This is something I'm having trouble with because I just get carried away with the moment. Impatience is my middle name.

I also hate it when one can see quite obviously a checkmate situation, the opponent resigns. That really used to bug me, because I thought the whole point of the game was to say checkmate. But now I’ve learnt that a resignation is just as good.

It's kind of strange when people do things for free these days.

I have just watched your first video and enjoyed it so will be tuning in for some more lessons.

Though I don't have ambitions to be a master, I am sure your methods will help me progress to a level that I will feel is right for me.

I shall be analysing my own 15/10 games more thoroughly and spending a good amount of time on each move in my turn-based games from now on.

I'm pretty certain I said in Lesson007 that had I charged for these, I would be lucky to have any students. My program is unique and I share my mind with you folks. No one that I know of has laid out a program to proceed up to at least master level. By making it free, everyone may see it, and thus spread the word. I do make a little $ with this, but that's not the main goal. I'm here to give back to the game for the 50+ years of joy it has given me.
