looks promising! I'm so glad a chess film's being made after David Fincher guy bailed out on the Bobby Fischer biopic for that Dragon Tattoo remake. I still want to see a Bobby Fischer film but this trailer looks great!

Thanks for pointing it out. We need movies like this one, and others to show that chess is a sport everyone can play. Especially now that we have a 22 yo world champion.

Let me tell you guys what this movie is going to be about.

An inner city school is plagued by drugs, truancy, violence, etc. etc. In comes a new teacher, who tells the students he's gonna change their lives. No one believes him, including other teachers and even the school principal. They all tell him "your (!) gonna fail".

Undaunted, the teacher gets the first convert to chess, and then another. After a few setbacks, they manage to form a team which goes on to win the nationals or whatever chess tournament. End of story.

Yawn. 

The way I see it, I've just saved some of you at least ten bucks on the cost of the ticket, popcorn and soda, and the gas that you'd purchase to go see this movie. Do I expect thanks? No. Will some of you appreciate my effort? Maybe.

Looks like the same as ted danson movie only high school. Ill watch it anyway.

Wow, got some really jaded, cynical people on here. Those chess programs are trying to help a school system that is failing terribly. A movie promoting those ideals is a worthy effort. I'll watch it.
