Please analyse this game for me (2) !

NOTE: I HAVE ALREADY POSTED THIS GAME, BUT I FILLED OUT THE INFORMATION WRONG. I AM THE BLACK PIECES, NOT THE WHITE.

Why not post a game you lost? You can learn much more from games you have lost.

Why do you open with a3? What were you thinking when you played 16 d4? Why not just take the bishop?

Why did you resign in that position when you were down only a pawn?

Your opening was bad, then on top of it you dropped a pawn.

Buuuut then white lost the game on move 12.

So, not much to analyze.

I guess I did see a few things.

25...Qe3+ followed by Rh8 and even if the queen could escape (it can't) you would be threatening a mate with Qg3 and Rxh3.

Also I was thinking 26...Ng3+ with 27...Qxa1 might be a quick way to get him to resign (although he played till mate so I guess not).

28...Rh8

29...Kg7

31...Qxg2

But I'm guessing at this point you're low on time and not looking. If true good job on your pattern recognition catching the smothered mate.
