Stockfish 5 (Droidfish) vs Chess.com CPU lv 10

Today I decided to try playing Stockfish 5, runned by my Android mobile (quad core 16 GB), against the highest CPU level of Chess.com app. I simply open the engine playing as black, while playing as white with the CPU: in this way, the two programs where playing each other. I was expecting Stockfish to win, but the game was drawn with Stockfish letting a repetition in an equal situation.

The time control for the engine was 30 min, and the strength 100%. So, I'd like to know what level 10 CPU rating is, because it unexpectedly drew a 3280 engine, does anybody know something? Thanks

If I'll manage,I'll post the game

Android device is not a computer. I think Droidfish strength is only 2500 level running on mobile device.

The point is that the android device has a 2,3 GHz CPU, more powerfull than lot of computers' ones, certainly than two and more years old ones. Anyway, also if it was runned on an iPhone, a loss of 800 ELO with 30 min time control is too much. Do someone know something about the level 10? During the match Stockfish started f4, with a ~-0.20. After that it was never able to equalize until the endgame. I can't manage to post the game, because it is saved in Stockfish and not in Chess.com server, does someone know how to post?

The chess.com Expert AI gets pretty much destroyed by a strong engine on a PC. This is a game vs Houdini 4 on a 6 core 3.9 ghz cpu with 1 second time per move:

I think we are talking about different things. You're talking about level expert AI, I'm talking about the computer lv 10 on chess.com android app

Anyway, today I repeated the match, and stockfish won in 71 moves, but not easily.

i do hope u used two seperate devices with the exact same specifications to do this as well as keep 0 background processes running, clear the cache, etc etc, im sure you know the direction im going. unless u have two of the same devices, one running droidfish and the other running chess.com app, both completely optimized. root it and overclock it. Everything u can possibly do to get performance. heck to battery life and all that jizz... what im seeing is two apps fighting for resources.

another thing is to have them running the same opening books and end tablebases

SonicX2121

you need to be scientific. you need 1. two of the same device. 2. both at the same performance level 3. a set of 200 blitz and a set of 200 tournament games. 4. both using the same books and tablebases if u can. 5. wait until evidence is overwhelming. 6. do it again. 7. post a report to chess.com .... i personally would love to see someone calculate the elo of droidfish on various devices.

Why didn't I think of this?  Awesome idea!

well im no genius. its just that whenever there is an argument about chess engines(there are a lot of them) someone ends up posting what i posted, or something like it. i though id get it out of the way. lol. sorry to ramble.

Unfortunately, Stockfish 5 has a default contempt factor setting of 0, which results in a lot of early draws. Try setting the contempt factor to +20 or +25, and see if that helps.
