Why do I lose time making pre-moves?

Some believe that pre-moving is cheating.  Others are aware of major clock display adjustments when one or both players have substantial lag (the best solution I've found for that, is to play faster than you appear to need to, as you cannot trust the clock display when there's high lag, as the site will be re-setting the display sometimes substantially).

I had a dead drawn game with some douche bag but I had 30 seconds and he had 2 minutes left.

I was premoving for at least 60-70 moves yet I was constantly losing 0.1 second the entire time. So this douche bag managed to get a win out of a dead drawn position by letting my time run out even though I had been pre-moving.

Please fix this, it is a joke.

Premoves cost 0.1 sec on your clock. That's exactly how they're meant to work.

YEah. Good idea. Otherwise you could just premove the game into oblivion.

If pre-moving costs time on chess.com then it makes playing any games without increments unplayable here. I will simply refuse to play without an increment going forward.

It costs time everywhere.

I just played a game, I premoved  some moves in the endgame, I was 32 seconds left and the next move I was 16 seconds left, of course I lost by time, and of course I did not last that much to move!

wich is the point of premoving if you lose half of your time?????

So dissapointed
