Blitz chess with specific person

Hello, I would simply like to ask if I can play blitz chess (= speed chess) with a person of my choice. I registered to this site quite a while ago but somehow a blitz chess option doesn't seem to exist. The minimum period of time for one move seems to be one day. And then I find it very difficult to play against a specific person (e.g. friend of mine who has a profile here as well). It has worked a couple of time in the past but more often I simply was not able to get it done.

Any help will be much appreciated.

You can play blitz with your friend.  You both just have to be logged on to the live server.  Here's the article;  live chess is in the second part.
