Board not updating in online game

I've searched for this issue, and tried the solutions there to no avail, so I'm asking again.

I've been using the site without any issues for a couple of weeks now, playing a few games.  Now, one of my games (and I think only one) is "frozen."  It's showing the position from a couple of moves ago, saying it's my move, and not letting me do anything.

I've forced a page refresh, to no avail.  Ditto doing a complete cache clear.

I'm running Mac OS X, and have been using Chrome without any issues.  But the frozen board has shown in Safari as well (and it couldn't be a caching issue since I never used Safari to hit the site before) and in Chrome on Windows XP.

The only way I have of continuing play is via the iPhone app, which is still working fine.  So I'm not completely dead in the water, but I'd like to get it fixed if there's an issue on my end.

Thanks!

erik

i'll have someone look into this tomorrow!

Thanks!  Let me know if you need any other details.

My mate at work has the same issue, but he believes it's because he has bad ram and HD capacity and a generic thrifty ISP.I have issues typing on this site and this site only but i have massive firewalls and security points that restrict me,my PC doesn't make friends easyly....

kohai

Jaes, i've sent you a message

Just to close out the thread, kohai was able to roll back moves, and once she did, my screen updated in the browser accordingly.  Thanks to her, especially for getting me a screenshot of the board prior to rollback.

I'm still not sure of the issue, since it happened through multiple computers, different browsers, using different ISPs and firewall setups, but it seems to be resolved.  Now I just have to reproduce the lost moves, since I was stupid and didn't write them down even after kohai told me she was probably going to roll back the game...

FWIW, my chess.com iPhone app *always* had the current board, and that's how I was able to play a sequence of moves after the browser stopped updating.

You're on Vacation, but should be able to move. Are you saying the positions you are seeing aren't current?

Yes

Try clearing your browser cache.

Try clearing the app cache, and if that doesn't work, uninstall/reinstall
