Change user name

I saw how in a forum and went to the page and clicked the "change username" link, but instead of allowing me to make the change, I get this "You can't change your username while you are logged in to Live Chess."

Which makes NO sense.  Plus, when I log out, it wont let me access the page unless I "log in".  Catch 22?  Can you make sense of this?  Thanks

I would rather be able to change it myself.  I am told it is possible, what I need to know is how to do it seeing my initial comment on this subject.

Being logged into Live Chess is probably not the same as being logged into the site.

When you click on the Live Chess tab, and you see the chessboard, you are logged into Live Chess. This happens after you have logged into the site.

I would assume if you just close the Live Chess window, you will be good to go.

It looks like you were logged into the Live Chess server while you tried to change it.

The Live Chess server is different from logging into the actual site.

Login without clicking on Live Chess and try again.

how can i contact an admin because i have problems with changing username too?

What they told me above works.  This is my new username.

      Can chess.com help me with a new I.D, passport, drivers lisence,etc?? Maybe a new life and papers to match. Degree from Harvard would be nice...
