How do I change the background color for the notes section?

No matter what theme i choose, I am not able to change the background color for the notes section. It is very ugly as it does not match the theme colors.

Yeah, I've had the same problem. I've created three themes, and for each of them, the notes bar stays the same beige color, so I don't think that it can be changed, cause I've gone through the whole thing and changed each particular bar and then checked my notes bar and it's still the same color. This has become an annoying problem, and maybe should be sent to chess management.

I can change the text colour for what I write by clicking under the A.  Just not the back ground.

Same question, eight years later. Can I change the background/theme, not of the board and pieces, but of the interface perimeter?

No, the only option is Dark Mode to make the areas transparent.

I figured out what you need to do, in the bottom left corner click on dark UI. That should solve the problem.
