Mouse issues.
Sort:
Clean the mouse. Open up the bottom, take the rollerball out, clear out the dust, clean the ball with alcohol and dustless cloth, put the ball back, close back the bottom. Should work fine.
Or maybe your mousepad is dirty. A clean sheet of paper works just as well.

ball?? what kind of mouse are you using>? are you on commodore 64? didn't know they still made the ball.

Its a LogitechG100 gaming mouse. 30 bucks!!!! it only does it on captures not on moves. Commodore 64....that was funny.

I'm having difficulties executing exchanges, captures. It takes me 3-4 times trying before it works. It doesn't happen on moves.
