He might be going on vacation just for a few minutes at a time. The way the site works, *any* time you go on vacation it burns a minimum of 24 hours vacation from your vacation allowance, but adds the difference (24 hours minus how long you actually went on vacation) to his games. So if he just goes on vac, then back off right away, it will have the effect of adding 24 hours to every one of his games. I see he's playing 150 right now, so maybe he's just feeling swamped and this is his defense mechanism :-)
never-ending time

I have a game (http://www.chess.com/echess/game?id=55909816) with a 3-day time limit. I believe my last move was about 2 weeks ago. But my opponent has not replied with a move. His time keeps resetting - one day it says he has 26 hours and the next day it says 46 hours, but no move is made and I never see anything that indicates he is using vacation time. Is there a way to see the date of any given move? And how is my opponent not running out of time? Please advise. Thanks.
