not able to move pieces with mouse

Hello, I'm not able to move the pieces to a square with my mouse. The pieces move but then they go back again to the start square. i have played a couple of games with the mouse working fine but then this started happening?? Anyone with similar??

First of all, check that the move you are trying to make is a legal move.

Since any illegal move will automatically return the piece to its original square.

Are you in check?

Would the piece that you are moving leave your king in check?

Is it a legal move?

im also having the same problem, i cant move the pieces ...even the first move is not possible and the game is getting aborted...ive logged out and shut down the comp and re logged , even then the problem is persisting....i dont have any prob with my mouse otherwise, its working well... somebody help>>>>

I just added this comment in another forum:

I had the exact same problem and solved it by 'removing' the Norton toolbar (clicking the ^ character on the toolbar to 'hide the toolbar for this page').

This problem occurs on Chrome browser.  The mouse problem occurs whenever the toolbar is present at the top of the web page; the problem goes away as soon as I 'hide' that toolbar.
