"This webpage has a redirect loop"

Sort:
TurboFish

Every time I post a comment in a vote chess game, I get the error message below.  I reload the page and I get the same error.  So I have to edit the URL just to get back to the main chess.com page.  Lots of extra mouse clicks, annoying.

Is there anything I can do to fix this?  I'm using chrome browser on an old PC with Windows XP ver 5.1.  Same thing happens with Windows 7 on another old PC.

Your stuck in a time warp and it will repeat until you get out. You have to send yourself a message that only YOU can decipher in a future loop. Star Trek did a whole episode on this. Good Luck #1.

Yes, I remember that epsode, one of my Next Generation favorites, Cause and Effect.  Since no staff have responded yet, I guess I'll send myself an email, encrypted as algebraic chess notation, and try to remember to read it next time I get that "redirect loop" error.

hahahaa   you even know the name of the episode. Well I guess that would make sense because, in a previous timeline, staff was never informed.  I like the episode entitled, "Remember Me" where Dr Beverly Crusher claimed that people were missing on the ship. I guess they were disappearing, until she was the only one left.

I'm not interested in trekkie conventions or paraphernalia, but I have seen every episode of Star Trek (original series), Next Generation, and Voyager.  Another way to repair time malfunctions is to drop antimatter into an artificial singularity.

BTW, has anyone else seen the "redirect loop" error?

I've seen every episode of  The X-Files. Maybe you need the services of The FBI ??   Don't forget about The Heisenberg Compensators!

Windows XP isn't supported anymore by Microsoft and therfore it is vulnerable to getting viruses. You should upgrade to Windows 7 or get a free operating system like Ubuntu.

Thanks for the tip, but it's at a community college computer lab -- out of my hands since I don't have admin rights.  I agree that they do need to upgrade.

Oh ok. Well, I'd let the IT director or the server/systems administrator know! Smile

Well, that was my advice. You can try submitting a ticket for the staff to review.

Good luck and I hope you find a solution. Smile

Is this in v2 or v3?
