Removing the Toolbar

I wanted to see the Chess Menubar, so I did ask for it to be installed. Having seen it, I decided that, with all the other toolbars, I do not need this one; my chess stuff is already bookmarked, so I wanted to remove it. How to do it was not immediately obvious, so I looked here for info, and while removal was discussed, detailed instructions were not given.  Here are the missing detailed instructions.

What follows are detailed instructions for Firefox, but my guess is that something similar will work elsewhere.

Click 'Tools' on the firefox menubar. [If the menubar is not visible, right-click with the mouse arrow in any gray part at the top of the window (but not a button).  You should see a small menu with "Menu Bar" as the first entry, and it will not have a check mark. Click on it, causing a check to appear, then click anywhere else to dismiss the menu. When the menubar appears, click 'Tools'.]  On the tools menu, click 'Add-ons'. In the page that appears (it will be a new tab, leaving everything else undisturbed) click 'Extensions'. Somewhere in the list of all extensions, you will see the chess toolbar. I don't have the exact wording, but it will say 'Chess' and 'tool' or 'menubar'. Click the small 'remove' button at the extreme right. It will ask you to restart the browser.
