I have to agree. I keep hearing this idea, but I don't recognize it. Everytime I start guessing in TT, I start losing fast.

You can disagree as much as you want, that won't take away the bad feelings for the logic of getting a penalty of -10 for putting somebody in checkmate in 40 seconds and in the same moment get a reward of 2 points for failing the puzzle.

Anyways i said what I had to say and that's it.

Well, I recently deliberately tried all kinds of strategies and it seemed to me it was working to that effect. When I wrote "guessing and moving quickly", I was not quite correct, though. It's more just dispensing with all the usual stuff of counting material, looking what every piece does, looking for a better move if I found a good one, double-checking etc. Doing all this will ensure a good pass rate, but the rating will be affected negatively.
