I had also a rating jump of 150 points this morning. Maybe they are doing it for everyone? I am trying to find some info, but no success yet.

Live Standard ratings have gone bananas. Guessing it is a glitch that will be fixed soon, probably by restoring whatever rating you had earlier today.
yeah, i have a +150 points in Live Standard right now, this is very wrong, i hope they will fix it.

My standard rating fell about 220 points. I think the problem is probably related to something they did with RD. I haven't played standard chess for a while here.
Btw, I'm not really complaining. There are big problems with live standard chess on this site.
Nothing to do with RD, people under 1,600 jumped 150, people over 1,600 fell 200.
Apparently this is deliberate and is meant to bring these ratings inline with USCF ratings. I mean I was around 1300 here but about 1550 USCF. Now I'm up to 1460 which is a truer reflection I think.
Still underrated per USCF. :)

SK, Scott is wrong. Take a look at ralph46. His highest std rating is 1820, but now he's 2099.

Well, that's what's happened for almost everyone, Smyslov reports otherwise but I haven't seen that.
Maybe they finally gave back all those points people lost to cheaters.

I wasn't wrong because I didn't say everyone. The vast majority changed as I described.
I think perhaps 1800+ have gained a different amount.
It's a compensation. It doesn't have to do with ratings.

I have played about 350 games, usually rating jumps 6-10 points down or up. Played a game tonight and it said my opponent 'aborted' mid-game. There is no record of game on my games list and my standard rating jumped from 1312 to 1462??
