I am relatively new to Chess.com and I consider myself to be a somewhat average player. My question is, my rating during 10 minute timed games seems to be significantly different (much lower) than my rating in un-timed play. Is there a different rating system for these and if so how does it work?
*Side note* I do not find that my play or win/loss ratio is much different if at all between the two. Someone HELP!? :)
What do you mean by un-timed play? I thought you might mean correspondence but you don't have any games in that style. All other game types here are timed.
To answer more generically, ratings between diferent pools and time controls are often different. You are playing different players oftentimes and the quality of play can change with the time available.
