I've noticed for several months now that the Chess.com App is not properly working. I'm not sure if this is only for me or it its like this for everyone. The problem is on the vast majority of the videos, the volume bar simply does not appear on my iPhone. It wasnt working with my last iPhone 3g and now with my new 4g iPhone, the problem persists. All other youtube videos, app videos, etc, work properly with the volume bar visible. 

Is anyone else experiencing this?

Is there a fix for this?

I just tried with the latest version of the app on an iPad and a Touch...  I get the volume slider in both.

Is the missing control and irregular occurrence, or specific to particular videos, or can you tell?

Its hard to tell really. Ive had it pop up sporadically sometimes and other times it wont pop up at all. It doesnt show the volume slider id say 90% of the time now. Although the rewind, pause, and ff buttons are available. 

if it still persists what should i do?

We're working on an update now that should definitely change things for the better.

In the meantime, can't you still use the volume controls (hardware) on the phone?

no thats what I'm saying. its silent/mute and the volume slider becomes invisible the second the video starts. pressing the volume up/down hardware buttons on the side of the iphone does nothing. 

So the lack of a volume control is really secondary to the fact that you have no audio!  Have you tried a full delete and reinstall from the app store?
