Why cant I register

I am trying to register for some time tournaments but it is telling me that registration is not available. (I dont know why I want to register...everybody else that registers is more than twice my ranking) Why is that???

Tournaments may be restricted to players of a certain rating or they may be open to all players.  At this moment, there are 13 tournaments listed in Live Chess, of which 7 are open and 6 are restricted. The restricted tournaments are limited to players rated from 1200-1499. The rating restrictions are only shown when you roll your cursor over the tournament listing.

I cant join tournament. It keeps requiring me to pay at least 5 online games. I have already played more than 5 online games against online opponents. Still,howcome, i am not qualified to enter tournament.

You didn't say what tournament you were trying to join.

It is possible that the word "online" is significant. Chess.com has two basic types of games-- "live" games (bullet, blitz, standard) , which require you to stay connected for the whole game, and "online" games, where the time controls are much longer (1/2/3 days per move and longer) and people may sign off between moves. (Yes, in reality, they are all "online".)

Ratings

The 41 games you have played are "live" standard time control games (>10 minutes) and you have played no "online" games, which are the correspondence type games (1/2/3 days per move, etc.)
