Can recommend this book of annotated Carlsen games by IM Colin Crouch. Starts off with chapter on his loses 2010 -2012 period. Then his games in two tournaments which acheived record rating. Basic idea is how used crisis period to improve his game.

Thanks for the tip TwoMove, that sounds interesting.
I only read "How Magnus Carlsen Became the Youngest Chess Grandmaster in the World: The Story and the Games" by Simen Agdestein. That was only about his early years of course, until he obtained the GM title, but it was still a compelling read.

Recently there was the quality chess book "Assault on the crown", which covers Dec 2013 London Candidate games, and world championship games. Probably his best annotated set of games at the moment.

That looks like a good book. A reviewer on amazon claims that it is better than the Magnus Force book.

There is also Fighting Chess with Magnus Carlsen from 2012 by  Mikhalchishin and Stetsko. It has the chapters "From master to Grandmaster", "The way to the top", and "Life at the Top".

Reviewers are divided on this one, claiming that the annotations are too light. It depends what one is looking for, too much annotation can be counter-productive for low level club players like me.
