Part 1: My Experience

I've played the Sicilian Kan, for basically 4 years now, and I still love playing it. What got me into playing the Kan, was some video of Judith Polgar playing the Kan, and something about it, said I want to play these structures.

I played chess in my younger school years, but then stopped, until the year before my final year of schooling (didn't do much chess in my final year.) So, I was coming back to tournament chess, and now I got to test the Sicilian Kan, although I don't remember the game, he fell into one of it's traps.

Now I felt rather happy playing the Sicilian Kan, and thought I had a very good system against 1.e4, but I now would rarely face the open Sicilian anymore.

The first side line I lost to, is rather uncommon.

after that I looked what to do against the c3 lines, and unlike theory of even today, I play something more uncommon.

and suddenly my record against the c3 Sicilian was better, I beat expert lv 2000+, and got a draw against a FM.

The main other system I faced was the closed system, but this became a expantion on both wings. my record is 75/25, so I won most of the time.

Now and then I would face a Open Sicilian again, and 90% of the time I would win with the black pieces. Now last and the year before I was playing in a lot of tournaments. And I got to play some of the countries top players, either in Tournaments or in a Simul. IM Henry, IM Watu, IM Donovan, were the 3 players I got chaces to play, I played Henry 2 times in a Simul, Donovan Once in a tournament and once in a Simul and Watu 2 times in tournaments.

Here is one of the times I faced Watu, and he played a line that I've never seen before and I then lost badly.

and so I started questening, should I play ...Nf6 so early, should I look into the ...Nc6 lines (which I didn't like) or stop playing the Sicilian Kan.
