Fancy being a 'Checkmater!'?
Checkmate! is a great group to the envy of all others! We have lots of things going on at the moment here, what with group tournaments (including Checkmate!'s Strongest Player Tournament, with 7 qualifying stages and a puzzle round), Checkmate!'s Who Wants to be an Adminnaire?©, where members compete for a place as admin, in a seperate group, the Checkmate! Chess Ladder, and of course the Checkmate! Grand Prix, in which the members of the group compete in a points system for prizes.
And of course lots of Team Matches and Vote Chess - we especially love rapid Vote Chess, 10 min/move - joining the Speed Vote Chess League. We have taken a recent interest in this very tense, exciting style of Vote Chess and have enjoyed our experiences.
Also, we have a 'Continuous Quiz', in which a puzzle is posted every few days, for points. We are a VERY active group!
