Team USA: Southeast is the team that represents players from the southeastern U.S. (i.e., Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Delaware, West Virginia, Maryland, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Tennessee, Arkansas, Missouri, and the District of Columbia) in the Chess.com World League. Our team is for all those who would like to participate in rated World League match play (about eight rounds per year) in the open World League matches or in other team matches. The World League is the official Chess.com league of international team matches. Countries battle it out in fierce team competition, with an internal ranking system and all-inclusive rating divisions.
Membership in Team USA: Southeast is restricted to active players who reside in or have connections to the states that make up our service area. Members cannot compete for more than one World League team at a time, so fly your flag accordingly.
