I last played chess semi-seriously 50 years ago. I never had a rating, but I was competitive with players around 1800. I'm retired and have more time to play now - hoping to get back there soon.

Almost there! 1787, 8 Nov 2016 (Daily Chess). I'll have to study some openings before I venture into live or OTB.

Got to 1806, then life got busy and I lost a bunch on time. Stopped playing for a while. Now interested again because of Queen's Gambit - along with millions of others.
