I was on the school chess team from grades 3-6 finishing in 1992. My sister beat me once and hasn't played me since. I love you sis. My most memorable tournament was the 1992 National Elementary Championship when I got the 15th place trophy for under 1300 rated players. My mother was published in Chess Life for a poem she wrote while watching. My most memorable two games were against the US National Scholastic champion Andy Alexander. In our first meeting, he resigned after only 7 moves and being 1 pawn down. This victory was not because of my immense skill, but because of him having a horribly bad day. In the very next tournament, the 1992 Indiana Individual Scholastic State Championship, Andy and I were paired in the first round. He dismantled me this time around, displaying why there was a 500 point difference between us.
