About Me:
In a (possibly futile) effort to stave off senility, I'm trying to recover my lost chess after being away from the game for a couple of decades. Lately I've been spending more time on OTB games. Very, very humbling, I must say. These games form the basis for most of the material in my blog, "Patzer's Corner" Please check it out if you have a minute.

This is the winning idea that wasn't played in HouseofCook vs Me, a game featured in my previous blog. Discovering this in the post-mortem made the whole game much more valuable to me as a learning experience. Enjoy!
