Occupation: Physician - part-time
I played chess in high school, encouraged and taught the basics by teachers who were incredible and whom I will remember for ever. Gave up for 4 decades while I experienced the rollercoaster of a great life. I retired from Family Practice in July 2011 after a 40 year wonderful career, but I still work part time as medical director of a 100 bed nursing home and teach long term care to young physicians in the Family Practice residency program.
I'll never be a grandmaster, but I enjoy the challenge of chess and the endless surprises that the game brings.
I still wonder how the Kasparov/Big Blue games would have ended without the cheating by IBM............
