Hello, my name is John. I have worked for US Postal Service for 28 years. 3 years ago, I landed a position in Information Technology, and I'm loving it. I recently received my BS in Computer Science at age 46! I enjoy running, reading, classic horror movies, and the Boston Red Sox. I learned to play chess while watching Shelby Lyman host the PBS show covering the 1972 Fischer-Spassky world championship. Chess' popularity exploded in the US during this period. I have played on and off since then with my highest USCF rating being over 2000. As black, I like the French and the Sicilian. Oddly, as white I enjoying going against the same defenses.
