I have been playing chess since 1994 or 1995 sometime around those years. I played my first game when I was probably 11 years old, but I didn't know all the rules of the game. Later I learn how to play in NY from a book that I took borrowed from a library in Queens, NY at the age of 22 or 23. I have been playing like an aficionado ever since attending to parks, and later through the internet. I have never participated in tournaments, but I would like to participate in one and see how I do it. If anyone that lives around the area of Iowa can give me a better idea of how I can obtain my ELO o FIDE rating please let me know. :)
