My Chess Style / Favorite Openings:
I love to play and teach chess. I prefer slower time controls such as 1 move/7 days. If you wish to play, I have many games right now so please issue the challenge for 1/7 or slower.
Tied for 1st place in a North American championship back in 1997. Played in the prelim round of three (correspondence chess) world championship cycles, got stomped each time (never better than 6th place) and did not advance to the next round. Best game: Draw with GM Reshevsky in 1983. Second best: Beat IM Donaldson in an 18 board simul when I was rated 1000 points less.
