My Chess Style / Favorite Openings:
Chess had the same presence in my youth as playing the guitar: playing the same 4 chords over and over. I joined chess.com to keep in touch with a friend and now I am making new friends, learning why I lose and discovering that chess is a game that really does exercise a particular part of the brain that other activities don't really touch. Ihave a strong preference for an early queen exchange to create space on the board and to encourage a more strategic interaction.
