Hello I'm Joshua Christensen the Vice President of Parramatta Chess Club.

About PCC

Parramatta Chess Club have members of all ages from young kids to senior citizens. Our members come from various parts of sydney and range from beginners to strong players of 2100+ ratings. We welcome anyone to visit our club and play friendly games at the club. You will always find someone who is about your level. You do not have to be a member to play friendly games. However, you are also very welcome if you want to join the club. Joining the club is very affordable and costs only $10.00 for one year. Please note that all members must be either a member of the NSWCA or NSWJCL or a registered player. If you are not already a member of NSWCA, we can arrange a new membership for you at the club.

Member Benefits

As a member you will be able to participate in the several tournaments that we carry out each year. This includes club matches (90 minute games), rapid tourneys (25 minute games), Allegro (15 minute games) and lightning tournaments (5 minute games). You will also be able to participate in NSW Interclub Grade Matches which are played amongst the sydney chess clubs including Parramatta, Ryde Eastwood, Rooty Hill, St George, North Sydney, Manly and Canterbury. At the club you can also analyse each game that you play. Strong players will happily help you analyse any game that you are interested in.

In the club, the results of all Standard and rapid tournaments are submitted for rating with the Australian Chess Federation and FIDE. As a member of Parramatta Chess Club you can rapidly improve your chess ratings. You can check your progress on the members page when the ratings lists are updated.

We meet every Thursdays at 7.30 pm at Parramatta RSL Club Corner of O'Connell St & Macquarie St Parramatta New South Wales
