I was taught to play chess by my dad on a camping trip. At least it is during the camping trip that I first remember playing. Perhaps he taught me previously. Maybe this explains why I also like camping.
Anyway, I've found that chess and chess.com is a great way of keeping in touch with friends who I might otherwise lose contact with.
I haven't yet begun to play against all new and unfamiliar opponents on the site, but I'm sure that time will come eventually.
